Complaints lawyers

Lawyers may face complaints from clients or from the dean. This may result in proceedings before the disciplinary court. Since 2015, the dean also has administrative law powers (imposition of penalty, fine, directions). Furthermore, lawyers may have to deal with a search by the public prosecutor or tax audits. It is not wise for a lawyer to defend himself. Moreover, the dynamics in sanctions law against lawyers are often completely different from what a lawyer is used to in dealing with his daily cases.

Notary complaints

Notaries are expected to exercise their office with great care. They are supervised by the government's Financial Supervision Office (BFT). A complaint about the quality of a notary's services can be handled by the Disputes Committee for the Notarial Profession. Disciplinary law is dealt with by the Notarial Practice Chamber. Delissen Martens' lawyers assist notaries and my clients of notaries in these procedures.

Bailiffs complaints

The supervision of judicial officers is carried out by the Financial Supervision Office (BFT). The Chamber of Bailiffs is in charge of disciplinary proceedings. We defend bailiffs in disciplinary and civil proceedings.
