Vera (V.) Balvers
Vera has an inner drive to sort matters out down to the last detail and to cause the pieces of the puzzle to fall into place. She has therefore found her niche in the civil law practice.
In May 2018, Vera started as a lawyer at Delissen Martens. Vera is a specialist in the area of liability law, the law of contracts, and tenancy and property law. She provides advice and often conducts legal proceedings about (professional) liability of, for instance, advisors, consultants and intermediaries (for example estate agents). Furthermore, Vera is often engaged by private persons and legal entities confronted with matters such as hidden defects or problems encountered when buying or selling immovable property. And clients who are dealing with rent issues or the general law of contracts seek her assistance on a regular basis.
Vera acts in a purposive and careful manner. This approach enables her to get to the heart of the dispute. In addition, Vera thinks that it is important that there is a mutual bond of trust, so that it is clear which interests play a key role. That way realistic and fair expectations are created.
In 2014, Vera was awarded the degree of Master of Civil Law by the Radboud University in Nijmegen. During her studies Vera acquired experience as an assistant, team captain and chair at a legal advice centre. In addition, she did a traineeship with a medium-sized law firm in the eastern part of the Netherlands. Before entering the employment at Delissen Martens, Vera has worked for more than 4 years as a legal assistant and lawyer at a niche firm specialized in construction and tendering law.
